Shiva Thandava Sthothram by Ravana !! Lyrics & Its meanings

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara !!
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, whose neck is adorned with the venomous serpents, constant flow of water from the thick forest like matted hair locks consecrate his body, and who performs the auspicious cosmic dance according to the tune of drumbeats, may shower all the piousness to us.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, I shall reverentially circumambulates supreme Lord  whose matted hair locks is glorified by the flow of the celestial river Ganga which constantly rouse the well of matted hair locks, the dazzling blaze on the wide forehead and the crescent moon as jewel on the head.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva,  May my mind avail the supreme bliss of the Omni present Lord who is the sportive companion of Goddess Sri Parvathi, daughter of King of mountain and in whose mind all the  living beings of the universe exists and who controls the obstacles and hardships with the perpetual flow of compassionate gaze.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, May my mind always seek the pleasure in Supreme Lord who sustain the lives in the Universe, whose body is adorned with the crawling venomous serpents with the reddish brown hood and lustrous gem on it which spreads radiance on the Kadhamba/Kumkum paste applied on the attractive face, and who is attired in magnificent garment made out of elephant skin.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, May I be rewarded with the everlasting prosperity by the supreme Lord who is venerated by Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and all deities lined up with their heads bowed down and shower the dust of flowers on the feet would make the feet grey in color and whose matted hairs locks are tied around with the red colored snake as garland.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, May I be benefited with the wealth of Siddhi from the matted hair locks of Supreme Lord, whose wide forehead shines in the brilliance of flame that was devoured Lord Manmatha and whose head is beautifully adorned with the cool rays of crescent moon.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, May I be rewarded with intense devotion to supreme Lord  who has three eyes, whose wide forehead is lustrous with the blaze that was consumed Lord Manmatha and who is an proficient and sole artist drawn attractive lines on the tip of the bosom of Goddess Sri Parvati, daughter of King of mountain.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, May I be bless with everlasting prosperity by supreme Lord who abide the burden of Universe, who is decked in crescent moon and celestial river Ganga and whose throat is dark as midnight has the appearance of new moon wrapped in various layers of cloud.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, My salutation to Lord Shiva whose neck is tied with the luster of fully bloomed blue lotus flower  and who is the slayer of Lord Manmatha, demon Andhaka & Lord Yama and elephants, destroyer of Thripura and destroyer of worldly bondages.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, My salutation to supreme Lord who was surrounded by brimming honey bees attracted to the bunch of auspicious Kadhamba flowers and who is the slayer of Manmatha, demon Andhaka & Lord Yama and elephants, destroyer of Thripura and destroyer of worldly bondages.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, who performs the cosmic dance to the marvelous loud and auspicious tune of drum beats and the spiraling of the tremendous blaze across the universe from the wide forehead caused by the breathe of the snakes.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, I venerate supreme Lord Sadashiva who has no discrimination towards common man or Emperor, grass or lotus, friends or enemies, garlands of snake or garland made out of precious gem.
Oh! Supreme Lord Shiva, when I will be fortunate enough to live close to the celestial river Ganga ? When I will be released from the appalling habits and immerse in devotion to supreme Lord who has marvelous forehead and vibrant eyes, by holding hands above my head? When I will be uttering the glorious hymn ‘Shiva’?
Whoever recites or listens to the glorious hymns narrated above on regular basis would be purified and attains immense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Shiva/Guru; furthermore whoever engrosses in the thought of Supreme Lord Shiva would be relieved from delusion.  It’s definite that there is no other way to attain devotion at the lotus feet of Supreme Lord.
Whoever recites the above mentioned sacred hymns sung by Ravana at the end of worship in the sunset would be blessed with grace of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and rewarded with everlasting prosperity, abundance of chariots, elephants and horses.
